【Aniwow!2024】 China-France Animation Joint Screening Event Concludes Successfully

On October 12, the 19th [Aniwow!] China (Beijing) International College Student Animation Festival and the French Cultural Center jointly held the China-France Student Animation Short Film Screening Event, which officially concluded. The event attracted numerous animation enthusiasts and professionals, who gathered to witness a series of outstanding animated works.


The event started at 3:30 PM that afternoon, showcasing ten selected animated works from students in China and France, all of which were nominated for the “Baiyang Award” competition section of the 2024 19th [Aniwow!] Animation Festival. During the screening, Olivia Wong, the Audiovisual Attaché at the French Embassy, was present to enjoy the films. The atmosphere among the audience was enthusiastic, with each work receiving warm applause and positive feedback.



After the screening, a discussion was held, hosted by Professor Cui Yunpeng, Vice Dean of the School of Animation and Digital Arts at Communication University of China, facilitating a connection between young animation creators from both countries.

The animators from both countries shared their creative insights and sources of inspiration through video conferencing. This cross-cultural dialogue provided valuable insights and inspiration for the attendees, making the event not just a celebration of animation art but also an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange between China and France. 

 

As the event came to a successful conclusion, the audience lingered, reluctant to leave, expressing their anticipation for the next screening event. The creators present also took a group photo with the audience, capturing beautiful memories of this event.
